Been a while since I've written anything, so I figured it's time to do so.
1.0 is a while away. Yeah, it's been over a year since 0.9 was released, but I don't care. Everything is being rewritten. There's going to be a drastic change in everything. ADOdb is going to be replaced with PDO, and everything is going to be changed in order to take advantage of PHP 5's OOP features. Configuration is going to be handled completely differently, and installation will be a breeze.
Pretty much, 1.0 is worth the wait.

Something that I bet many of you have been wondering is "Why has it been so long since a Kusaba X release?"
I'm going to answer that for you. I don't believe in rushing releases. Focusing on releasing a new version every week results in shitty, inefficient code. I don't believe in deadlines. I believe in releasing it "when it's done".
Releasing it before it's done results in having to rush another release to fix the old one. And then, another to fix that one. This cycle will continue on and on, indefinitely. You keep trying to catch up to yourself, but you can't.
Kusaba X isn't, and never will be, a software that rushes releases out one after another, with declining code quality.
Kusaba X is, and always will be, a software focused on releasing with the highest quality of code that I can offer, and will only be released when I feel that I have reached that.
All of this being said, 0.9 is very close to being completely finished. It should be released within the next two weeks. No promises.

Kusaba X version 0.9 won't really have many new features added. Instead, it's focus will be to rewrite much of the shitty and inefficient code. It will also fix some bugs from Kusaba 1.0.4, such as 'File Delete' being broken.
